The cute tiny tank turning into the mustard tank of doom is also prettty cool
@HaramBoy: it looks quite alright, just a bit choppy. Maybe it just needs a few more inbetween frames?
@chris is balls: Oooh, Metroid II?

@FawfulBeans: I really like that second image--the chequerboard backdrop! The organic shapes of the trees contrast with the geometric shapes elsewhere without clashing, I feel. And together, along with the interesting curve to the ground, they make for something interestingly strange, I find. ^_^
@HaramBoy: That's a pretty cool little character-sprite, I think!
@chris: I like that! It's an interesting design, and I like the way that you've captured the shine and reflection of those dark (transparent?) regions. ^_^

Are you familiar with someone called Oceansdream? It made me think of their pixel art, reminds me of it in a few ways. But that's good :3 https://www.deviantart.com/oceansdream/gallery/Really diggin the grass tile corners for when it's close to the sand.

Some more art for Hearthstead ( devlog) Test walk cycle in four directions: Some tiles and sprites for our first prototype Someone on imgur mentioned that the graphics are too similar to Stardew Valley. While Stardew is one of the inspirations I see plenty of differences when shown side by side. What do you think?

Nah I think it looks pretty different. I'd just say you're going for the same kind of "vibe" as Stardew Valley(colorful, pretty graphics that looks like some of the best examples of pretty colorful pixel art)
Love to see the water animated if it is! :3 Love the shells and coral and stuff. I'm just a big fan of tropical/beach-y anything really! But I'm really liking the sand tiles and stuff.

I've been working on my spacecraft piloting game called Raum Drive. This is the title screen currently (work in progress): And I also have a nature survival game in the works, very early in development: It's refreshing to switch between projects, especially when they are so different.

I was hoping to get some feedback on this. It's my second ever piece of pixel art and my second ever piece of art. I'm looking for some brutal feedback and some pointers.

I was hoping to get some feedback on this. It's my second ever piece of pixel art and my second ever piece of art. I'm looking for some brutal feedback and some pointers. Hey Deckhead! First what is the original resolution of the piece? There is some distortion artifacts, like "stretched" pixels, kinda like when you scale up an image without filtering but not by the same factor on both x and y. So that'd be my main piece of advice, work on a base resolution and if you are going to scale up do it by the same factor for both x and y. quick edit at real size: edit at 8x The shape, composition and colors look decent to me, the main thing bothering me is the distortion. Hope this helps!

Hey thanks. I resized it in an attempt to make it easier to view on the forum. Original size here. Extremely quick edit. Basically the same things I said before: Make sure lines are clean or as clean as possible, use AA with intermediate colors, etc. I did this small clean up work in a couple of minutes, didn't do a pass on the complete image, but you get the idea. As I sad, composition and shape are quite good, just technical details can be improved. It's readable, it's immediately recognizable as a satellite. Hope this helps!

@Deckhead I prefer the original to the edit, the jagged edges give the satellite history and the blackened spot on the wing-bit reads as a natural hard shadow. Though if hard shadows was your target, the cylinder, plane, and solar panel could use some interesting shadows too Keep it up.
