Haha, Thank you so much! And also damn, im9today's artstlyle looks pretty interesting.. Sucks that they seems to be not active on the webzone anymore, They had the exact surreal vibes that oscillated my vibes & Would love to see more works from them.

Hey everyone! I'm part of a team that's working on a dating sim that's set in 1950s Las Vegas, and I wanted to share some of my pixel art with you and hopefully get some feedback! These are my first two sprites: We're shooting for a PC-98ish look. What does everyone think? Any feedback is welcome!

I think it's odd to say you're shooting for a PC-98ish look, because this is quite it's own thing altogether. I'm intrigued by the character's at immediate glance (ignoring the exposition) and feel that there is a story present.

Thanks a lot for the feedback! I suppose the only PC-98ishness that we went for was in the sprite resolution and the dithering techniques, so maybe we'll rethink that part of our pitch. I'll try to post some more art when it's ready, I would love to hear some more feedback.

Looks pretty good, but I'd make a tweak to the second character's leg position during the step forward. If the knee were to bend more and the foot would angle downward toward the ground, I think it'll look more natural. Legs don't really retract upward; joints bend to make room for one foot to pass in front of the other, then straighten to put it back down on the ground for the next step.

@ProksiV Have you heard of rotoscoping? You could get some pretty amazing results if you follow through with something like that.
Also you could checkout Monkey Island for reference on furthering your animation loops.

They look nice - The use of pillow shading usually is deemed negative from pixel tutorials of ye'old; but I see a sort of quality from it in your art that is positive. Things are kind of standing out differently The woman-wearing-a-hat's hips makes ME feel off balance. Also the the third woman's tie has that plant-like sprout coming out that I think is a little strange. But at a general glance still works. Interesting, keep it up!
