^ These are fantastic. Really give off the "arcade" feel.

It's been eons since I last posted on TIGForums, but here's something. I've been doing a 30-day sprite challenge, and here's day 5 (today's).

Here's my Twitter and here's my PixelJoint account where you can see the others, as well.

I suppose? It was kind of just based on a general idea of a mammalian dolphin guardsman, but the hair is definitely influenced by invertebrates; it ended up looking more like an axolotl / amphibian, so that's fine, lol

Hello! I've never really thought of myself as a visual artist. But I've been really inspired by a lot of SolS' work, as well as the really vibrant 8x8 pixel art that's come out of the recent popularity of Pico-8 and Bitsy as tools, so I started experimenting a lot with this aesthetic that I've always loved but never really felt confident enough to fully embrace as an art style worth polishing/developing.

Hope gifs are OK in this thread - mostly I think it's necessary to get across a little sense of life.

Hello  Smiley don't normally share anything but thought I would like to improve myself and my artwork

Would love some feedback on this animation of a wave I'm doing for a side project game I'm doing.
Anyone experienced in animation pixel artwork, I would love to hear from you lot with any tips to improve.
(Only base colour at the moment, working on the motion of the wave).

Thank-you in advance,

Alex

Hey Alex, one thing I would like to point out is the motion of the wave looks a bit weird to me because the surface of the water is reacting to the wave hitting it before the wave hits it:

lol np!

Yeah I've got new stuff I'd love to post to twitter but I've been locked out of my account for the last few days. Lost a few followers in the last days too, shouldn't be much of a problem assuming I get it back soon but at the current rate it's hard to say if or when I will. Sad

Thanks! Here's one of the color variations I made today that ended up looking so much like the final stage in Super Mario 64.

that's cool, the previous one you did, to me it looks a bit abstract and I feel like I'm in a snowy valley trying to find my way somewhere.

I've never seen anything like this in terms of art style, its eye-pleasing Smiley

damn you recognize my game about cute characters based on a completely differently shaped tileset of a different color with no characters, my brand is strong
