Haha, they've killed G!  My god...  Dogs of the AMS!

Here's a batch from 92-93 made Deluxe Paint on the Amiga.

Hah!  It's cool to see some old Amiga pixel work here, posted by the original artist!  And for an unrealized demo.  Cool stuff.

Modeled after my personal pickle collection.

This disturbed me.  I want to ask if you still have it after 15 years, but I'm afraid of the answer.

Here's a sneak peek at my current project:

i love this.
such a simple, efficient design for such a low-res sprite.

Thank you!  If you wanna see low-res, you'll have to see his 16x16 workmates (one fourth of that guy's resolution).  hehe, it was fun putting several full character animation sets into the resolution of a favicon.ico, while still giving each a distinct movement style.  I'm going to be sad when this project is over.

BELIEVE IT!  Haha that's who I thought of when I first saw your animation there.  Now I see that's his hat and the shadow of the hat.  I like the wideness of the still version's hat more than the animated version.  But I guess the animated version's hat looks more like a fedora.

Those sprites are cool Smiley.  I like the animation.

heres something i did:

i created a fake rock back last year called 'tiger tiger uppercut' (it's like sagat punching william blake in the face). i designed a couple of albums, a history and even buttons, a myspace and other hilarious stuff!

this one is for their second album:-)

Hehe the Gorillaz of the 8-bit coverbands Smiley.  Did any fake music go along with it?  And are those the actual mario floor blocks with tweaked color?

i fooled around attempting to make some music but nothing respectable ever came out of it. i pretty much just bought electroplankton just so i could use it for that purpose, haha.

those are pretty much the mario bricks , yeah:-)

I usually prefer more minimalist graphics because I have no patience at all for pixel work. I wouldn't feel right asking my pixelly-inclined friends to help since whether or not I'm ever going to finish a particular project is always a mystery.

This thread compels me to throw a couple of frames I did for Titty Tiger, my (incomplete) entry for Podunkian's mascot compo:

I guess it would've needed fixing anyway.

"Pixel graphics" and "minimalist graphics" are not opposites.  There are countless steps in between minimalist and complex 2D art, and all of them can be done with pixels.

Is that animation for a game or possible game?

Well, of course, I was referring to my lack of patience for anything more complex than what I do. Which tends to be either a static line-art style:

or a simple 8-bit inspired style:

Basically I shy away from anything require animation any more complex than what can be achieved by shifting parts around and using particle effects, with the exception of the player characters.

That particular image was for a possible game. It would've been a simple fast-paced snes-style platformer with a somewhat interesting combat system.

A squidtank, eh? Smiley  I like that.  And the crate art/colors remind me of old Apogee shareware platformers.  I like that too, heh.  The plane game art might have been done out of laziness, but it's stylized in a way I haven't seen before.

That one's sort of inspired by Cocoron, so you get to mix and match parts of your character. Ghost body + dalek head in that screen.

ooo pretty cool, modular characters.  Oh, and sorry about my misunderstanding you before, though I'm glad it happened since it resulted in more pictures.

Nice pic, but an MP3 would be so much easier to listen to.

Good stuff, Adam.  For those that don't know, this was made using the limitations of the NES palette in every tile of the image.

And yeah, I myself found that I didn't have an NSF plugin installed for Winamp.  I love NSF files, but I reinstalled Winamp with no plugins when it was taking a while to load.  I imagine there are many others without an NSF plugin as well.
