I made a Flash game in one day.
The goal is to drive the city around and avoid the rockets.
All graphics, programming and music is own production.

I did.  I've had this problem with some other games as well.  I'm using a debug version of the flash player (not sure what version, ten point something).  Happens in both firefox and safari.  I'm on osx.

could it be my embedding code?
Flash CS4 comes with a whole bunch of embedded code when you compile a fla to html.
I deleted it, and used just the object embedding (like in the old days).

But now i wonder, maybe it's there for a reason. In firefox win 7 it works fine for me.

Still not working.  I had some similar problems with one other game.  It was written in as2.  Is this in as2?  If you want me to test anything, just shout...

Well, it works for me. There are my comments:
-A really simple idea for a game.
-Why are there badly drawn tiled spikes in the background?
-There is a misspelling in the death screen; "population hight".
-The collision is way off, you seem to be using a square mask for the city - much different.
-Bad color scheme; you shouldn't use the saturated yellow like that. The city is way too detailed compared to the rest. The graphics remind me of 70's comic books.
-Fun music.

It's neat, simple and pretty addictive - I like it  Smiley

That said, I suck at it. Hi-score's a measly 1160-ish.
The only thing I'd want added is some way to restart without having to use the mouse. As an added bonus, I think that would make it easier to get caught up playing for longer stretches aswell.

I have fixed some of your suggestions. The color scheme is indeed not the best, but for me it works. I'm not really into neat esthetics, it's a status quo.

What do you mean? tiled spikes? do mean just the background graphic is badly drawn??

I am talking about this picture. I don't think it has anything to do with the game. It just looks out of place.

Great responce Smiley i was afraid i sounded kinda snobby. But i really acomplished my goal: Too complete a game. Little steps maybe, but they lead to bigger steps.
