Hola,

I'm not sure if this is the place for such news, but I finally managed to collect a good chunk of my old Tyrian graphics.  I've made them available on my website to use as free pixel art for folks that are into such extravagant eccentricities.

Best wishes!
Danc.

That's awesome.  I loved Tyrian growing up.  I'd say it was my favorite shmup, and possibly still is.  Tyrian, One Must Fall 2097, and Death Rally all stick out to me as great games of their respected genres with engaging commerce systems.  I know you only did the art, but still, great stuff.

Oh don't mind me, I'm getting all nostalgic over here.  Wink

Phenomenal work! Shocked

I've uploaded the images to my website so that it's a little easier for people to browse: http://www.derekyu.com/tigs/forums/tyrian/

I took some computer classes over the summer when I was a kid and this is one of many games that I remember fondly trading with friends over little diskettes... Grin

Use the Tyrian shoot-em-up graphics to make anything BUT a a shoot-em-up...

...Like a Match-3...

Ahh Tyrian (and ...destruct? the hidden scorched minigame? Tongue)

I remember I bought it bundled with Epic Pinball or something, but if I remember correctly, they were just demos.

I loved that game! I used to play a lot with my brother (keyb + mouse) I also remember hatefully how the game crashed, my computer had some issue with using mouse in DOS Angry

Ah... The Old Times, when game trading was based on diskette copies and you always carried around your 10 disks box (you never knew when you were going to need them)
