Shine.. can we expect Jack Nicholson as well? Anyway, i cross my fingers for you. Even though this game would not be ready for compo, try to finish it none the less. Looks like a real weirdo-thing; and we like weirdo-things, dont we?

Not sure how weirdo it will be. Probably not much new will be done as I'll have to remake everything. Buggy code built upon buggy code doesn't work very well you see.

Breaking news, Shine is no more.
It's now called Clouds, and it's completely different.

Can't you tell us anything about this game? At least its genre? I'm curious, dammit! :D

I can tell you that the original game was a buggy mess that ran with the performance of a molass.
Doing a new game from scratch. So far things are coming out well.
It's a platformer.

Makes me think of that cloud herding game where you were a kid with cancer and you kicked the shit out of evil grey clouds. You know the one I mean, right? That was like, the first indy game I ever played.

This one?I absolutely loved the idea behind that game, but found it almost unplayable

I absolutely loved the idea behind that game, but found it almost unplayable If by 'unplayable' you mean 'unenjoyable', I'd almost agree. It was really fun at first, just from a "fly around and enjoy the scenery" point of view, but the doing-things-to-clouds part seemed more like a chore than a fun thing. :/

I liked the main levels, but the bonus ones, where you just had to drag clouds onto blocky templates, was a drag. They should have removed those levels altogether to make the game tighter and more artistic.
Sorry Melly for derailing your thread a little bit but it's your own fault for not giving us any information!!

The reason for that is simply because I've barely added content to this thing. I'm just trying to make the underlying structure work properly, which with my inexperience has been difficult.
And I don't want to give you guys too much information because if I can't get it done you guys will be disappointed.

Ooo, looking good! Reminds me of Alec's Célu (which is definitely a good thing). Also, PROTIP: Alt+PrintScreen takes a picture of the current window only.

Kind of, yeah. I just didn't care much and I thought showing some of my windows stuff would look kinda neat.
