Is there anything wrong with making a game I already had planned to make and try to sell? If I do enter it, may I still try to polish and sell it later?
-Oh should have searched this thread first. Looks like its alright.

Don't think so, no. TIGS is not some evil corporate overlord that rapes your metaphorical churches and burns your metaphorical women.

Sandoval, don't spread lies like that. All we do is kidnap nubile young wenches.
Mmm, nubile young wenches.
Welcome to the forums Chris. I hope you enjoy your stay. (hide your wenches)

Let me pitch in with a tool offer as well, though this one is completely free. If you plan to use Game Maker for this compo, then please give the Faucet Networking extension a look. It allows you to communicate using TCP, so it fills a similar role as the well known 39dll, but it's meant to be easier to use and less buggy. There's only one catch: You'll essentially be a tester for it For more information, see the extension's devlog (especially this post).

Wow. Yesterday this site was recommended to me and minutes later a competition starts. I've always wanted to do multiplayer some time, this seems like a nice reason to start. A simple competitive game.
My final exams in school will start on the 28th - luckily the competition will be over by then. :D

I was going to sit this one out, but Benjaminsen's offer may be too much to resist... free stuff...

Awesome and interesting theme! Versus is my favorite genre within gaming! If we can spare some time from Owlboy, me and Snake will joinage

Melly maybe we could get a tools thread or something stickied. This player.io offer and the GM dll are both rather buried in this thread.

Yeah, I think I'll have to sort some of the sticky threads. It's' getting a bit crowded, but a tools thread seems like a good idea.

Hey, Derek (or anybody who happens to know), I'm nearly certain I've seen the picture in the compo announcement before, but I can't think of where, and it's bugging me. What is it?

I believe it was used in the sadly failed TIGDuels thread.

What is this twitter you speak of? In all seriousness, I don't use twitter so I wouldn't be able to help you with that.

I guess you should make your own then. #tigvs would probably work. Maybe #tigcompo or something

Actually I think I'll be using #tigcompo just so in future compos there is no question on which hash tag to use.

Aha; that must have been where I saw it! This still doesn't answer the question of where it actually came from, though... Is it original and in a vintage style, or is the picture actually old?
