Change of plan, I have an idea now and its....

desktop vs desktop

Idea:
User travels from his desktop through other peoples desktops. Goal is to destroy as much desktops as you can. You also need to protect your desktop by placing tower-defense-style turrets and stuff. You will be able to upgrade your weapons to fight both other users and their desktops. Actually this idea sucks and I may do something completely different.

Technology:
Extensive use of WinAPI to get info about users, OpenGL for display, RakNET for networking. Interfacing with PHP tracker and P2P serverless connections.

Probability of completion:
38.9%

Progress:
- I made boring stuff, lots of it.

Interesting idea, but make sre that your game can't alter or damage stuff in other people's computers.

Sure! But it'll look like it does... Also, Extensive WinAPI use angers antiviruses, I hope I can avoid that.

Progress report:
- Implemented RakNet for networking
- implemented libcurl for PHP server tracker integration
- Got a white background rendering

Several hours work later I will most probably have a first working online version.

Also, I'm between these two ideas for user management:
- No stats or stuffs, you just play the game
- Server front-end with user statistics, logins and stuffs, you play your own character all the time.

Yay! I got the networking thingy going now! There's not actually much to see, but players appear, dissappear, update, and share data through the air and it's all done in P2P. I have a PHP database serverlet, but it's just for storing info.

Actually I just made tons of boring stuff, no backstories, no plot, no evil ex-boyfriends so there's not much to see. The concept (desktop vs desktop) is probably going to collapse, and I have NO IDEA what i'll be doing with this. I'm sure it'll be a hamber-thingie (non-scrolling something).

Also, I need someone who can draw an MMO

EDIT:

disregard that...

Actually the green dot is "Frank" and the red one is "Jamie" and they both fell in love in the same armadillo ("Eddie"), and they will fight over him, but it will not be easy since they are made of jello

EDIT2:
I REALLY need someone to draw stuff, here's my main character as a proff that I can't do it alone:
