So a quad of us Octodad devs at DePaul are doing a capstone project based around 2-player competitive play and fluid physics, sexual blob reproduction, hair shaders, iPad multitouch controls, Windows kinect controls, 3D hats, etc. and it just so happens that it will fit perfectly for this compo! So we're basically going to combine our school project, whatever the theme is for Global Game Jam, and this compo into some madness. I hope we have something special for you in a month!
Maybe just maybe, windows people will be able to play it networked with a mouse.

We want to do all of it in one project! (with multiplatform iOS and windows builds probably using gamekit, or just ogre). Obviously some things may not happen, think of it as a list of proposed features ordered by priority / likelihood.

How do you combine iPad multitouch with Windows kinect? Different input schemes?

They will most likely be separate input schemes for the separate platforms. (I'm on the team too.)

PTibz is wrong. We're using iPads with virtual representations of our hands that are then velcroed to our hands to operate the kinect.
PTibz is right.
Frottage.
I can't wait!

Although using ipad to control the windows version while the other player controls the kinect would be theoretically possible, it is not planned, but awesome in its ridiculousness.
3D hats are like 2D hats but with a z coordinate. 3D hats are like Avatar, but with hats.

Manbaby army game controlled with pyrokinesis exclusively, DO IT!
Anyways, you should use human languages to inform people of your plans, I don't get, like, any of it.

Maybe this will clear up some of those nagging questions. Sure does! And the best thing is it doesn't make the game sound less insane. I like it! What kind of university are you going on anyway that allows you to do crazy stuff nonstop?

We all go to DePaul University. The class we're taking is basically our "senior project" and they let you pick and choose your own ideas for it.
