RPG Duels
A D&D, Magic: the Gathering, Earthbound inspired battle game!

Players will build characters with an allotted number of points to buff stats and buy spells. When your character is ready, take it to the battlefield to fight other custom creations in menu-driven battles. Battles will be 1v1 to 4v4.

There will be a time limit to select your action. When everyone has made their move the round will commence. Spells, attacks, and defenses will all have a priority and resolve accordingly. Early, cheap spells will resolve after defense and attack, but will resolve sooner as you pump more Ability Points into it.

Each turn, your max Ability Points will increases by one, allowing you to cast stronger spells later. Keep in mind, stronger spells have longer cool down times!

Don't die, and you win.

This idea sounds like something that'd I'd really enjoy playing, assuming the execution was well-made! Wink I wish you luck, hopefully we'll see some amazing tactical turnbased combat here.

Oh, and remember to change the icon of the thread to the Versus compo icon!

This sounds brilliant! You have a great, very wide-open system to work with, and I see this with a really fun theme to it. I like the idea of building characters, and then fighting them, all in small brief duels!

Can't wait to play this myself.  Smiley
