Looks pretty interesting.  I imagine it will look even more interesting when multiple players are bouncing off of the walls and ceilings.  Have you decide on an objective/goal for the players to beat their competition?

those are some excellent de-corpsing effects, nice work. Will the ground plane always reorient to horizontal like that?

I like the look of this. It looks a little bit complicated to play, I can't figure out how the aiming works at all from the video Droop

Great video - it looks like a demake of the zero-G bits of Dead Space Smiley

Do you always head towards the nearest piece of ground (like in Mario Galaxy) or float until you touch a new piece? I couldn't make it out from the video.

That is a really cool concept of how to implement a "gravity switching" mechanic. Bravo. And I love the floating blood.

You should see if there's a way to make it look all youtube-artifact-y in the final version

I just made a new engine for the game that cleans up and simplifies a lot of things. Now I think I'm going to work on graphics  Smiley

Oh, I should have described it more clearly, the players are hunting eachother. I have yet to decide if I will do respawning or a 'last one standing' sort of thing.

I favor a survival thing because the game gets tense as you are sifting through all the floating gibs and whatnot. In one test play, my friend didn't shoot me because he at first thought I was another floating body.

At first I was going to let players decide, but I realized that having the whole screen turn made the game more interesting.

Thanks, I'm hoping that the game will have an acid retro-sci fi look at the end. The aiming works like any 4 directional platform shooter. In the latest version, the screen spin is appended onto the 90 degree limits... Not sure if I will keep it like that though.

The blood in motion stays in motion unless acted upon by an outside force  Gentleman

You reorient yourself whenever you hit a wall.

I tried to do an effect that bent the screen but I was having difficulty getting it to work... I'll keep messing with effects though

This looks like it's going to be crazy fun to play! Are you planning on implementing online play? The gameplay must be ridiculously fun and unexpected if each player is seeing themselves as being oriented 'properly' and the other players are walking on the walls and upside down on the ceiling.

Very exciting!

This looks pretty cool. When watching the vid in full screen all the screen flipping became a little dizzying.

The duel is fantastic, though as Oddball said, it can make you a little dizzy while watching.

Also! Have you considered adding grenades that would be affected by the gravity the same way as players do but would also bounce and have delayed timers (just like in Quake)?
