Hi, we are 3 independent developers who have been working on a side project for a while now, and just about ready to show off what we have so far. We are providing a multiplayer platform for casual games, geared towards web developers who would like to enable multiplayer capabilities within their existing games or maybe write something from scratch. We intend to provide a simple Javascript API that would mainly deal with the communication protocol, so you don't have to worry about matching opponents, dropped connection, time synchronization etc. So as a game developer, you can solely concentrate on your game logic. We also provide a social layer to enable one-click friend invitations, as well as a highly scalable game chat feature.

We would really like to find out the value of such a service. Right now, we have a somewhat working copy of this at dev.16cubes.com. We already have implemented a multiplayer Tic-Tac-Toe game using our API, but we haven't made it visible yet. Even though we are planning to support anonymous play, we haven't gotten around to it yet. Another kink right now, is you have to register an account with us to be able use the chat feature …

At this point, we are looking for validation of the idea .. and any of your thoughts on how we can make a good demo…or what you guys would like to see in a good demo. We are targeting casual turn based games for the moment (like chess, checkers, poker etc), but there's no particular reason that with a sufficiently involved javascript game engine (on a relatively fast javascript engine) you can't use our platform either for more interactive games.

We would be attending the Game Developers Conference Expo in SF at the end of this month, and would love to meet some of you in person if you guys are really interested and are around the neighborhood.
