I am looking for an artist to create graphics for an isometric real-time strategy game.

Components Need:
 - terrain tiles (water, dirt, world border, mountain, forest, other)
 - 14 animated units (infantry, submarine, destroyer...)
 - explosion tiles (animated)

Delivery: 1 PNG (or PSD) in 1024x1024 (contains all the graphics), tiles are 64x32px
Style/Theme: Command & Conquer/Age of Empires
Deadline: within 1.5-2.0 months
Payment: 4-digits US$, negotiable, PayPal or Bank Transfer

That sounds very good, I must say. Smiley

And yes, I'd wager to ask a few questions, which might possibly be important for other artists as well:

  • Would you have any preferences regarding style? C&C and AoE have a very neutral, realistic look to them, as they're basically 3D models converted into sprites.
    Given that you're including Advance Wars in your list of inspirations, Would you be open to a more artistic feel - say, retro art, painterly or anything similarly stylized)? Or would you prefer to stick close to C&C aesthetics?
  • Do you happen to have some rough information about the unit assets, which seem to be the major part of this project? Aside from the standard 8-way movement, attack and death animations, would there be other major additions?
  • Are your units all sketched out already, or would the design be decided in cooperation with the artist?

Those would be my major inquiries. Sorry for the extra work. Smiley
