I play this game everyday.
(I really don't know why I didn't write that earlier... maybe because it wasn't scientifically proved. Well, now it is!)

That WASN'T the final version? Good Gods. Downloading RIGHT NOW. OH YES: And thank you so very much for continuing to work on your entry. Not enough people carry it out past the deadline. You're an Indie Hero. Or something. Three Cheers!

This is a fun game. I've never played anything with this type of gameplay before, and I think it was a great idea. The initial learning process was a bit unintuitive (this coming from someone who gets confused easily) . Once I got the hang of things I really enjoyed the game. Also occasionally the level generation creates large hiccups in the difficulty ramp (especially when it decides to create an area with a lot of cliffs in it). All in all, this is a Great game. Kudos for working on it past the contest deadline.

I went back and played the final version -- I'm not sure what all has changed, but it remains really awesome

During Christmas dinner today the radio started playing Live Aid, and my girlfriend was inspired to change the lyrics to...
"# Save - the - Beagles! Let them know it's Christmas time!#

hahaha, I've always hated that song. Mostly because I think Bono is a self righteous jerk-off. But with lyrics like that how could I not love them. Also, it makes me want to go play Rescue the Beagles again. (I have already played it for a half-hour this morning)

I hadn't played this until today, shockingly! I love it though, I can see why Bytejacker gave this 'best free indie game of 2008'.
When I saw the injured puppy I thought he had diarrhea. Wasn't for a while that I realised it was blood, not poop.
I love the 'doggies!' guy! XD

You should add co-op to this and put it on the Xbox Live Arcade so you can make a ton of money :handmoneyR: Edit: Can you add an infinite sandbox mode?

I agree that this game is an excellent candidate for some sort of console-based downloadable service. Or, Rescue: The Beagles: Extreme Edition could be a hot item on Steam...

Oh, but I think this caters more to the XBox Live demographic: the sequel will be - Rescue: Suicidal Goth Schoolgirls.

Rescue: the Emos (or maybe not) Anyway, I hope nenad will continue to update this game. I love it (and I'm preparing a little surprise for you, nenad :handshakeR:)
