Agreed.
Me and my friend played The Warriors co-op for nine hours straight yesterday. We still haven't gotten to the actual movie story, but we're almost done with the prologue.

I played through Portal 2 coop again with a friend who just got it, I'm really looking forward to official and unofficial coop map packs.

Still playing TF2! Although now that I've seen that Steam has Shining Force II available I might have to succumb to nostalgia...

Lately I've mostly been playing Canary by Nitrome, as I've been too busy with work to do much else. But my wife got me Enslaved: Oddysey to the West for our wedding anniversary so I've started playing that. I'm really enjoying it, and it's certainly the most visually appealing post-apocalyptic world I've ever seen.

Going to start Jak II, soonish. I managed to get pretty far in it when I was little, but when I tried it last year, I couldn't do a damn. (that cursed spiked tank of doom red... thing)

Jak and Daxter series is on my never ending list of PS2 games I still need to play.
Playing Duke Nukem Atomic Edition in preparation for Forever. Never played through this game before and it's pretty awesome so far. Reminds me so much of Half Life in places. Love the secrets.

@ Tom: Wait 'til you discover Spin Cycle (if you haven't yet). Duke 3D is truly a level design masterpiece. Now do you see why some of us aren't so impressed with CoD & Halo?

Not played Spin Cycle yet. Agreed on the level design, I haven't played a FPS that engaged me this much in ages. I played a bit of Black Ops campaign but it does not even compare to Duke. I have to admit I do enjoy CoD online though.

I can't find anything on "Spin Cycle" online. What is it? Currently playing Another great little gem from Treasure. If you have 800 XBL points to spare, consider getting this one.

Spin Cycle is a hidden/extra level in Duke Nukem 3D, and one that's very creatively mapped, at that. It seems almost Non-Euclidian in nature. In fact, there's a few of the hidden/extra levels that were just ridiculously fun. One of them was oriented around carefully-aligned teleporters, too.

Interesting. These old "maze" FPS's tend to have pretty good level designs in general. I haven't played Duke3D that much, but Doom 1 and 2 had some of trickiest layouts I've ever seen.

Indeed, Doom I and II are one of the best FPS games I've ever played. (and the maps are very well designed) I should probably try Duke Nukem, too.

Doom architecture you say? Quake actually had nicer level geometries and very interesting maps. I prefer it over Doom's levels out of the box but obviously Doom was modded more so amateur level designers took that to a whole new level.

I think they're both from the Mapper of the Year Award from the Cacowards, so look through the Cacowards archives if you want the first one, I found the second one here but I'm not 100% sure what WAD it's from: http://www.doomworld.com/16years/others.php
