I bought the Sam and Max collection on Steam a few weeks back. I'd played Season 1 before, and now I just finished 2. Episode 202 was a little iffy with some uninspired puzzles, but after that it sprung right back for some brilliant brain-benders in the rest of the season. Especially fun is when you're presented with what seems to be the solution of the puzzle, only to find that solution backfires and you need one more step to get the real answer. If you play the episodes all the way through, the callbacks and foreshadowing are top notch, so when you complete episode 205 all your questions are answered, many of which in completely unexpected ways.

I'll have to start season 3 next week.

Until then, I highly recommend it. Great puzzles, hilarious dialogue, and a lot of playing with the expectations of the player.

Currently I'm having trouble getting a solid connection to the Steam servers, so I'm playing the Chantelise Demo.

I have too many games. I recently spent like 30 bucks, the most I've spent all year, so now I'm playing Oblivion, Eternal Ring, Killzone, Dragon Quest 8, and Super Scribblenauts. When I get around to buying HIB3 I won't even keep track.

I've been away from playing any games for a while, but I finally got some time this weekend to play Momodora 2, and I'm enjoying it; even though it seems I've reached the final area rather quickly.

Been in the mood for open-ended games and roguelikes lately: Minecraft, Dwarf Fortress, Europa Universalis 3, Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup.

I'm trying to do a no-kill play of Deus Ex in the realistic difficulty. It's like playing a whole different game, I like it. Smiley

How is Golden Sun: Dark Dawn? I liked the originals, especially all the block puzzles you solved with magic. Been thinking of getting Dark Dawn.

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines was $5 on Steam over the weekend, so playing it for the first time and loving the quasi-Deus Ex-ness of it.

i enjoyed it, it retains the puzzle elements of the older ones while keeping just the same batshit crazy story that the first ones enjoyed.

one thing I don't like is that you're given 8 different characters to play with but can only have 4 in your party, it makes me feel like i'm neglecting my party by sticking with the first 4 i got.

In other news, i'm playing from dust at the moment, I'm getting really into it but I can see how it's getting mixed reviews, definitely worth giving it a try
