I was just checking out the Steam sales. Gemini Rue for $5 and Half-Life 2 for $5. I may have to partake.

Playing HALO! The first one, the remastered/remade aniversary edition.
I've played a little of Halo around 8 years ago, and being a PC gamer, thought it was nothing special, boring even, compared to FPS from the same time on the PC.
Now, I've got an Xbox360 and found it on sale so, decided to buy it and give it another shot. And now I'm liking it... compared to today's FPS it's pretty good! It's a fun game, not as linear as today stuff but also not as open as something like Quake 2. It's a mix of modern and old-school FPS: you have a health bar AND a health regeneration at the same time, some open levels and some linear ones. Also, while they were able to made a control scheme great for a FPS to work on a console, the vehicle ones are awful, wtf!?
If you play Quake, then this and then something like Modern Warfare, you can clearly see the "evolution" of the genre.

Played Fez pretty much all day yesterday. I beat it almost twice. I figured out what I had to do for everything else, said "Fuck it." and turned off the 360. That game's cool. Glad I played it.

Just finished Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask. The puzzles were easier and the Masked Gentlemen was pretty obvious early on, but it had good settings, story and characters, and also that dungeon exploration.. damn that was fun, wished it went on for a few more levels

Yep, I did everything but looked for a bunch of the puzzle solutions on the Internet cause I don't have time to translate an ancient language that only exists in a game... if I was 10 years younger or unemployed I would love that. Still enjoyed the game a lot, rare to find a game nowadays that I like enough to complete it 100% (even by looking for solutions in the Internet).

The Walking Dead. Me and my sis just finished the first episode. Lol, so tense - practically screaming.

Just came home from my 5 day Christmas vacay. I finished Mario 3D Land and I am nearly done with Ocarina of Time, I am at the Shadow Temple atm. Ocarina is the second ever Zelda game I have played after Link's Awakening on the Game Boy.

FarCry 3. It frustrates me how it's absolutely not interested in telling a good story, even though all the right elements are already there. Also, worst female characters ever. Still, it's a lot of fun, and stealth/takedown mechanics really make you feel like a badass jungle warrior.

Yeah I agree, good game play but the storyline is a mess. Would have been a great game otherwise.. maybe even a GOTY

Just bought Civ V. That game is going to consume my life just like Warband did. Luckily I have a cold.

Beat Hotline Miami, now I'm onto Black Ops 2. Both games probably get the same grade in quality, 4/5, so I'm feeling pretty good about the fun I've been having the last couple of days. And I've just started The Walking Dead, which despite being made by a company that has proven time and time again that they can't do anything right is also looking really good. Here's hoping that FTL and Gianna Sisters: Twisted Dream continue the trend.
I also got a lot to say about Hotline Miama but I feel being late to the party it's all been said.
