I am really enjoying The Last Guardian right now. For all the development problems it had, I am glad they pushed through to finish it. Can't wait to see more.

I just beat The Signal From Tölva which is a game that I took to real quick because I'm the kind of guy that loves watching AI interactions in games and this game is almost entirely AI interactions. It's also absolutely gorgeous to look at, as far as games that look like paintings go it's the front runner.

I agree, that's a really nice game, like a minimalistic version of Far Cry mixed with a bit of Stalker.

Would be cool to see more indie takes on the "Ubisoft" style of open world game because the reduction to the essentials really pays off here.

Stalker-lite is something that I've read from a couple of people but I think that it's a bit too lite even for that. It's not that much complex than Quake and Unreal or Tribes if this had multiplayer, it's like a refugee from the nineties. I've wanted a game like this for the longest time I just wish that squad level tactics existed. It's, okay you guys go over there and I'll go this way and draw in those guys down there and oh geez you've just run after them and got yourselves killed. A bit too simple for it's own good in one area.

Currently I’m playing Mass Effect 2 but somehow I can’t get into it. I should have played it before Shadowrun: Dragonfall, that I think had much more elaborated characters. Smiley

Pinstripe is out, and so far, it's everything I hoped it would be. Expertly crafted, and hauntingly surreal. This one is definitely a gem.

Titan Fall The Second got a steep d-count on the sony playstation four. Multiplayer.really reminds me of playing Pilotable Strider Mod as a teen - the first multiplayer map os this city with squat fat little megaplexes. There's probably not a cooler feelingI've had since then that captures being on foot and held out in the shell of a building thinking you're safe only for seconds later the body of a giant mecha to slide bythe window and disrupt that feeling of safety immediately

Little bit of Salt & Sanctuary NG+.
Played some old games of mine for inspiration

and Zap Bear https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/zapbear/id1016670264?mt=8

I didn't like Zap Bear at first (A friend's design coming from a final fantasy minigame) but it's grown on me as a simple but frustrating reaction game. An audio queue plays before you have to react but it's the visual reaction you need so the audio makes me make a bad jump sometimes..

Well it happened, someone reverse engineered Blood so now instead of playing it with shitty mouselook at a low framerate in DOSBox you can play it with sound and room over room bugs, no voxels and shitty mouselook* at a high framerate on whatever runs Java. This pretty much makes my decade, I've been having an awesome time these past two days. It's so haaaard, but the weapons are so good. It still has the best explosions, like, ever. It's a scream.

*really, it handles exactly like how the Build engine handles mouselook which is not at all so top marks for accuracy.

yes finally!

why exactly wasn't it possible to just run blood on the build engine port made for duke3d btw? did blood use a different version of the engine or sth?
