Zelda albw
nintendo: 3d isn't a gimmick, we swear! Let me show you

Every 3d game on 3ds miss an important detail, they should use the gyro to tilt the projection instead of having the awkward depth that stay parallel when you move your head or at least the console, it break the solidity.

The 3DS should have waited until they had proper eye tracking tech.

I still like the 3DS tho

It was not eye tracking, it was focus tracking, it was the same dumb parallel depth but now it doesn't force you to track the sweet point, even though it lose it from time to time. I like the 3d, especially well used in albw, It's just not robust enough.

Finally finished Hollow Knight this afternoon. Only took 54 hours (95%). Took my time though. My hands hurt.

Most memorably game for me of the last half-decade. When I decided I wanted to do video games for a living basically 20 years ago, I had fallen in love with these sorts of tricky moody metroidvanias. I did end up getting into gamedev, but it's AAA, so hardly the same.

Gameplay aside, the setting, the world, lore and characters is just wonderful! I almost feel they pulled half of the environments out of my brain and STILL managed to surprise me, those that I've been dreaming about putting down in some kind of media for years. The ruin, spore-like ambiance and vegetation. The "small is big" of it. World made out of nails, thimbles, string and earth. The heart-wrenching music. The design of the insects (I wanted to be an entomologist when I was far younger), and the absolutely GORGEOUS writing. It managed a setting and style that's both profoundly sad and almost nihilistic, but still downright beautiful. I'm in love with this game.

I've been playing GTA 1 ( yes, the old one ), Dungeon Siege 1 (Again, the old one) , Dune 2000, and Dawn Of War : Dark Crusade -All games that I love.
Then again, I'm building an RTS/RPG game so I need to understand what gives the feeling and can use the inspiration Smiley .

In my experience : Transistor is a really great game on the first run. A really enjoyable 4-8 hours experience. However, it's one of those games that you can play once and absolutely love it, then once you're done, you should not go back.
If you dare, you'll be likely to find that the second run of it is quite awful since the melodramatic attitude is accompanied by a never-never-silent voice that tends to ruin it.

It's linear, but the battle system is pretty good. The more you play more possibilities open up and you can get really creative in how you approach enemies. There's even a mechanic where you make the game harder but get more experience, which in turn gives you more fighting tools to use. You should probably keep playing if you're enjoying the combat, as it only gets better from where you are now.

After all these years the one game that I'm always playing is Rocket League! It's just the perfect pick and play kind of game for me. Other than that, when I have more than just 30 minutes of play time, I've been slowly making progress in Persona 5.

Finished albw, I didn't like the combat at all, what's the point of analog control if I can't aim at angle enemy is attacking me at? Items are mostly pointless and shield is not comfortable to pull up.

As a dedicated centrist I'm willing to posit that both nms and rez are bad

Got myself new gaming pc, now experiencing joys of 40k gaming.
It turns out those modern ultragigabit games looks mostly like 2008 ue3 games, now there is just more polygons and unnoticeable light effects on wet plastic that is photorealistic graphics.
Also got a phone thats has no java, mobile game are harder than roguelites turns out.

Bought Dead Cells on a whim, enjoying it a lot!
I like that it's hard, but doesn't punish you excessively for a single error. It also strives to make you feel a Cool and Powerful even when you've just started out.

Playing Pyre, very beatiful graphically, the pacing is a bit slow at fist and linear, after that it is a bit better. Interesting the "sport-like" battle mode.
