I've been playing Hexcells Infinite. It's basically a really slick Minesweeper implementation, on a hex grid, with designed puzzles and a few additional mechanics beyond the familiar basic ruleset. It's a pretty good time! If you're into constraint evaluation puzzles (Masyu, Picross, etc.), it should be right up your alley.

Dipped a toe into The Signal From Tölva's free prequel expansion. It's a run around in the snow with plenty of laser action to get you heated up, not an hour in and my first running battle involved both of the other factions so it's already getting to the good stuff which might go a ways to please anyone who thought that the game started off a bit too slow for their liking. Basically more Tölva on a new map which is what I was pining for.

Playing Final Fantasy XV for the first time, now that it is being released to PC.

The graphics is one of the best today, as also Digital Foundry mentioned, the lighting, the particles and animations are really great to say a few. The music is the really inspired and the Stand By Me cover at the beginning is a really nice touch.

I was surprised by the combat system, with a real depth regarding strategy and timing, I strongly feel the influence of Dark Souls when you explore the dungeons, new dangerous monsters that appear all of a sudden, a lot stronger than the others, that require to dodge and attack at the right time, banishing the button smashing.

I am only at chapter 3 (I need to get my second summoning) but overall I am confident to say that is a great return of the series and I invite all the Final Fantasy enthusiast that were disappointed by the XIII to give it a chance, they will enjoy it for sure  Smiley

I’ve finally gotten to the 3rd level in Dream Quest.

It’s a great (and hideous) game, but I can’t help but feel like the difficulty is mostly from getting ganked by random shit that bricks your deck or OTKs you. The thief is by far the most fun with all the Miracle Rogue shit they can do. I also like that it isn’t gouging me for F2P card packs.

Dream Quest is an all-time favorite for me, and it's still uncommon for me to reach the third floor. I think the point where I decided to just lean into the randomness is where I really fell in love with the game. There's just so much stuff in the game that even if I'm trying the same strategy over and over, it's gonna play out pretty differently. My preferred method of play now is to just pick random classes or try for some of the achievements. I still haven't beaten the Lord of the Dream, haha.

I am playing Ni No Kuni II. At the moment I am on chapter 4, the building part (no spoiler).

I really like the graphics, at 4K 60fps is a beautiful experience, it seems to watch a Studio Ghibli movie supersmooth.

All the music are really nice and I can remember them easily.

The combat system is done very well, simple, fast and fun.

The story is something that I still need time to evaluate, but for now it seems a step back from the previous game.

I think I'm gonna do kiwami 1,2 and then 3. Not sure I will be able hold out. I'm anticipating 3 might be a little rough.

kiwami is a rough come down after 0. 3 is a lot like 2 (regular 2, not kiwami 2) and the story is a bit dumb but the human drama is really good and i wouldn't recommend playing 6 at least until you play 3
