not playing it but i thought more people, especially on tig source, should know about "ganbare neo poke kun", a neo geo pocket game that is basically a tamagotchi about a depressed ant living in poverty inside your neo geo pocket that codes indie games but keeps getting interrupted by his neighbours bursting in to use his bathroom, harass him, end blood feuds with ninjas hiding in his shitty studio apartment, die of heart attacks etc. if you manage to maintain his mental health long enough for him to complete coding the games you get to play them. a lot of them are terrible little time wasters but some are quite fun and very occasionally inventive parodies of famous games, for example D&DQ at 11:50 a short 3 floor dungeon crawler with random encounters that you win via dice rolls. i feel like it captures a spirit some people here might relate to.

Awesome! The story/setting seems vaguely similar to Dandy Dungeon, I wonder if that's a coincidence..

I am playing BlazBlue Central Fiction, graphically is spectacular even if it is a game from 2005, and there are a lot of cool characters.

should have been released now, when there was a massive backlash against console cover shooters. that way it would have healthbar, less cooldowns, cooler weapons and spinning ammo boxes that wont require you to hold reload button to pick up.

Cultist Simulator. I both love it for its cryptic, moody narrative; and sorta hate it for its grindy Skinner-box like play

I heard about cultist simulator and see a bunch of people on twitter enjoying it, but I have no idea what it's actually about haha

Also, I've been playing a bit of A Dark Room on switch, the game that got taken down from the eShop for including a secret code editor.

I'd describe it as a visually stripped down (abstracted to cards) survival, resource management game with a few roguelike elements; with what I'd classify as a very well done occult theme to it.
