May she rest in peace, after so much work, sweat and blood I'm rather surprised, you really stuck it out and got so much stuff done. Well done Gabe, may you thrive in whatever you choose to go into. Truly, even if it was only for the amazing devlog, it was a pleasure getting a look into your creative, brilliant mind. Well done

Is there not a coder who could jump in and take the designs and artwork to its conclusion or would that be out of the question?
(bit busy myself at the mo, but I'm sure there's lots of people who would like to have the honour of shouldering the burden)

I would write some short and poetic story about how the Archer is to return. Return to the house with the perfect reference on its wooden wall. Arrive on the ink-black bird that still resides on my desktop. Pass by the many towers bombarded with foul creatures. Sleep with Archer scarf and nightcap to keep warm. Dream of the robots that can only be dreamed of. See the map that Archer eyes alone can see. Eyes that droop even more as I type. But I suck at that type of thing. Wake another day or not. Sleep, Archer. Thankyou. Seriously though, it's sad to see this end. But the last thing I would want is for you to release all of your documents on Archer. If this ever did happen, it should only be to a single lucky soul, and only if he had some epic homage to this project under his wing, ready to fly but only needing a name. I need to stop writing. Good luck with your amazing work, Gabriel Verdon.

I'm sad to see this go unfinished as well. Hopefully some will take away from this the importance of being aware of the size/scope of the project overall.

Sorry to see it go. Your diligent updates pushed many, myself included, to make more progress on the one hand and share more of it on the other. So while your game may stand unfinished, you've done a lot for open development.

I expected great things from this project. Amazing that you worked more than a year on it. I thought that, since you already got so far, nothing could stop you from finishing it. Guess I was wrong.
It would just be awesome though if you would release a demo.
Good luck with artwork and whatever you're going to make!

Hey friends. So I feel like I've been a bit irresponsible as of late, let me just address some of the questions and things. I seem to have a problem where I get lost inside my own head, and because of where my life's at right now it tends to happen a lot. It makes me lose perspective on things and then I try to pretend I'm someone I'm not. A couple days after I made the post saying I was going to drop the game, I just got that uncontrollable urge to work on it again, and when I get that I just can't do anything else. Funny how these things work out. So yeah, I've been working on it again for the past little while and I've been making a lot of progress. I think the time I took to work on art really helped me subconsciously solve a lot of the problems I was having with the design. I also spent some time hanging around conceptart.org and some other art forums, but for some reason it just doesn't click with me. Tigsource and the indie game community just feels like my home. I also can't seem to work as hard on art as I can on games, and to be a professional artist that just won't cut it. Dealing with cunty art directors on a daily basis with freelance work is also kind of soul-draining. I think from now on I'm just going to chill the fuck out and accept that I like to work on different things sometimes. But games will be my home. So basically, thanks for following the thread and sticking it out with me guys. It's awesome to have friends pushing me forward and picking me up when I fall down. For the moment I'm not going to return to the daily updates because I think that wasn't working too well. But I'm thinking weekly updates. I still need to sort some things out before I can come back, but expect something pretty big. What is dead may never die. i once had a conversation with a friend wherein he revealed that one time he was jerking off, and was preparing to blast his fetid, off-white issue all over his own person, but apparently he had misread the mood, and ended up pissing all over his own chest. use this information and go out to find the adventure you seek, young mister gabriel.

That's great :D Sounds like a perfect way of going about things: doing stuff that you find fun, when you find them fun. I also spent some time hanging around conceptart.org and some other art forums, but for some reason it just doesn't click with me. Tigsource and the indie game community just feels like my home.
And weirdly I know just what you mean. I reckon it's cos sites like conceptart.org feel like proper 'Oh god, this is proper professional, gotta post good and proper all the time' places. Added pressure and all that. Best of luck with all this anyhow!
