Excellent looking screenshot. If I may be as so bold as to make as suggestion... it might be moodier with some low-lying mist along the ground and maybe some awesome, puffy, moon-lit clouds lingering in the background.
Not that it needs any of that, of course.

Hey those screenshots look great but the moon's edges look pretty "rough" maybe add some AA to the edges?

Great ideas I'll try to get those in tomorrow. Oh and by the way, I know I haven't responded to your last PM, but I've certainly read it and those drawings and notes are awesome. The drawings in particular are epic. I've just been really busy but I want to make sure you know that I greatly appreciate your advice I figured you're a busy person and I'm extremely verbose, so don't worry about any kind of reply. Keep working on this gorgeous game, that's better than any reply to my long winded messages. If you do want more sketches and stuff, let me know and I'll scan some of the better ones and send them your way. Now that I have a scanner I guess I can actually scan some of these monstrosities and photoshop them together... And, if you ever have something that jumps out at you as not looking right or just wanting a second opinion, give me a shout... art or design stuff.

- Add windchime doodad, with sounds Oooh, these totally need to be wooden chimes, they would definitely fit in with your carved wood/tribal atmosphere... ( Edit: And they can sound kinda spooky too... hollow and clattery instead of tinkling and melodic) Here's what they sound like; Oh, and out of curiosity, did you give any of the games I mentioned a try?

That is sexy. I commend you on your awesomeness. Is the Archer sprite finalized?

Check your bitrate on those .wav files and make sure that they're sitting around 16 or 24bit. Lots of programs still have issues with 32bit wavs, not sure if GameMaker is one of those. Pop me a msg if you need a hand.

Sweet update! The new art is nice, ESPECIALLY when realizing how the old one looked close up xD

The game looks brilliant! :D
The only thing you could do is to make the Grass darker, or the dirt ligther.

I only have a little niggle with the new sprites.
They are holding their arms perfectly straight when they hold things, and it looks a bit unnatural. I would personally move the objects closer to the body, and maybe give the arm a bit of a bend. Especially on the shield guy.
Love the new sytle though, much easier to read!

This is incredible. Reading through the thread, thinking "oh ja, this looks pretty swanky." Then I see the concept art, and I am very impressed.
Then you continue to work on the concept art, turning it from lineart into a fully fleshed illustration, and that's just incredible.
Can't wait to play this. It's gonna be a thing of beauty.
Also, love the new sprites! Much cleaner, lots more character, too.

That teleporting thing just gave me an idea? How about teleport arrows that transport the player to wherever they're fired?

Yup that's what they do Oh, wonderful, then! That would definitely make for some cool puzzles.
