How can this image be improved?

I don't have any formal training or much experience with this whole art thing - just a lot of respect for the people who do. So I'm looking for any and all advice, and I don't think you could discourage me if you tried.  Wink

The above image is for promotional type stuff for the game I'm working on. Yes, it's a world where people fight with swords and have computers. Sweet, right?

This is my first post, so HI! and thank you for your help.

Hiya, shpoonj. It's a nice emblem, though I loathe the picture quality (you don't have a printer with a built in scanner or anything?). It'd make more sense for the black space in the background to be a perfect square, as a general rule of thumb undistorted polygons are best for design work (i.e. right triangles, polygons where each side is the same, et cetera). It's hard to say much more about it when it's probably going to be converted to a digital medium

real art looks like the mona lisa or a halo poster and is about being old or having your wife die and sometimes the level goes in reverse
