Real devs work days straight without taking a shit. But some cheat in-place and you can smell it.

Who needs three monitors and back support when you have a netbook on a bed?

Just my laptop in the living room. The kids are a real distraction though.

Sorry for the mess! Got a couple Xmas gifts hanging out on top of the workstation at the moment. Wacom is hiding out between my 2 computers.

I share a cheap office with a web developer friend

The building used to be a church and you can get a nice downtown view from the top of the belltower

Will try to get more later, but my space is basically what's in the picture.  Have Max Payne and Mafia posters up because the building was actually home to God Games.  Now it's a tech startup incubator.  Sad I'll have to find a new office in the summer -- building got sold Sad

Ah, incubators! I was in one of them when I founded my first company, was a pretty good experience. My only issue was I had a perfect workspace at home and all I had their was my Macbook or the office's iMac to work from. There's just something about programming on a Mac I don't like... then I sold the company on and got rid of the office - I much prefer to work at home on my startup.

Travelling to and from the office wasted valuable compilation time!

Nice.  I'm not actually in the incubator program (they deal with b2b stuff) but it's nice to be surrounded by startups and the constant flow of people helps prevent cabin fever.  There's too many distractions at home for me to stay productive and it's only a 5-10 minute drive so I like my setup.  Might give home office another try when I have to move out of that office and see if I can save some money.

Home library, for y'know, books.

I've got a second monitor that's supposed to sit on the bureau but that's in my old office. Really should pick it up soon...

Walls are a bit threadbare as I've only just finished painting the room...

Temporary set up, as you can see space is an issue.
But I do have the essentials such as a coffee mug and psyduck figure Giggle

Is your room so spare because you were right about to move?
