Finally decided to use my old 24"
-snip-

Does it really help to have so many monitors? You have so much empty space.

It depends on what you do, 2 is usually enough, but if you want to have a separate code files open to lock at it while you're editing another one and still see to effect of the changes you make in your game that can be very useful !

I switch it on around 60% of the time

And yeah, lot of empty space, the fucking 16:9 format is adapted at all to my coding style, but neither is

It's quite horrific but here's my workspace, built into my bedroom.

Mind the awful paint (this used to be my sisters' room) and the messy dresser.
I really need to get more programming books and maybe a second computer.

Nothing fancy. Using a spare bedroom in the house.

I do need a new desk and chair though, badly. And yes, my dog is almost always in my lap while I work, so she gets a credit Smiley

I fondly remember when mine did just the same. It was cumbersome to type, but I loved every second of it. I was more busy keeping the dog comfortable that actually working/doing whatever I was doing.

How I miss it...

Same here, but a thirteen-year-old cat who passed away just a month ago. It's so empty without her after more than half my current lifetime.

Ditched the coworking office...  setup at home.  Enjoying the vertical monitor for coding/web browsing.

Oddly enough, I'm working at a co-working office with a few other indies here in Troy, NY, USA called Tech Valley Game Space.  Here's a series of my stuff:

Holy sheeeeeeet. What games did you make? I love the minimalistic aesthetic.

EDIT: Nevermind, I started reading your blog. I love this sort of stuff, about internet entrepreneurship and whatnot. I hope I can someday get a business like yours! (Maybe with games that are a little less casual tho Tongue)

What desk is that? I've been looking for something simple like that.

I've gotten out of the bath.

I don't have that laptop no more. It was from work, but I had to quit due to lack of opportunities. They'd missed out on a very important client for whom I was supposed to do a bunch of work. So I got a keyboard and a pen for my tablet and installed some software to actually make it useful. It's pretty neat now.

It does look like a laptop on the table, tho, but its screen is broken, so I've hooked it up to that external one and thus it is actually my stationary computer in practice. The laptop to the right is my girlfriend's. She'll be moving in properly and bringing her proper super machine that she recently bought along with its external monitor soon, tho (she already practically lives here, but she hasn't gotten all of her stuff yet).

We need to clean this desk up...
