Hey guys, been posting about this on and off for the last year or so. My band has been working on a video-game concept album for quite some time now with indie developer, Tom Vine and pixel artist Francis Coulombe. Both do amazing work in the indie game scene. Tom has even had his games "Plasma Warrior" and "Paroxysm" noted by 1up, indiegames.com and several other sites as some of the best indie platformers.
After a ton of work and absolute determination to make this crazy idea a reality you can finally play the first stage/song of "Level 2" the interactive concept album. The game is a dual stick shooter/platformer in which the music and lyrics are directly linked to the gameplay. Check it out here: lastchancetoreason.wordpress.com.

The music is Progressive metal with big focus on futuristic sounds, wild harmonies and polyrhythms. It features a blend of both clean and harsh vocals. If you dig the band or the game and want to support the project you can pick up "Level 2" the album, which was just released through Prosthetic records (home of Lamb of God, All That Remains, Animals as Leaders, Scale the Summit, Gojira and more) at:

This is fucking sick!! I love it. The whole concept is amazing, and the game syncs with the music perfectly. The singing heads around the middle of the level and all of the transitions really sold it.

Also, your music reminds me of Between the Buried and Me, and that is a very good thing. I wish you guys needed a new drummer  Wink

The game, and especially the artwork in it, looks splendid, but that annoying trailer really put me off Facepalm

I notice you forgot to stop the rumble when the level ends. Other than that really intense! I love the art and music. Thought I agree that it's hard to tell the foreground and the background apart.
