Can we pre-rotate the graphics? No big deal if I have to do that at runtime I guess, just curious.
Yup. You can cut them out, rotate them, scale them, whatever you want before hand in a graphics editor. Just don't draw anything new.

Oh gosh, I had no idea how creative you can be when using these sprites "creatively" Example; that nose on the right. Cut a small portion Rotate 90° clockwise recolor it blue (runtime ofcourse) And voila, you have a killersharkfin OR one could use those legs as jaws for some monster (my little sister thought immediately about a crocodile when she saw that sprite :D) I'll start actual devprocess tomorrow (im in GMT+2) but for now I'm going to stare at these sprites so I can do some brainstorming while sleeping

24 hours starts NOW for me. My face exactly. So... what are the rules on shapes/primitives? Nay? Must I mutate those sprites to make a background image, for example?

This will be more fun. I think that if you're creative, you can make pretty much any primitive from the sprites. If you really feel the need to make your own primitive shapes though, keep it to non-interactive stuff (like backgrounds), solid colors, and make sure they are actually primitives (circles, sqaures, etc. not "primitive" people or anything like that)Edit: Actually, I need to not be such a push-over. Keep it to the provided images. There's a bar of soap there if you want a rectangle, and Buttercup's head would make a nice circle. Try to be creative with it.

Is it OK if I use some pre-made drum loops for the music?

To help people do more interesting things faster, I give you: A zip archive with the image cut into pieces:http://ubuntuone.com/p/uc5/I tried to have one image element in each new image, as far as the original image would allow it without any editing.

So wait... Any game mechanic we want? I don't want to make up an idea and then figure out I missed the theme.

Eh, no. I won't tally it up until later in the week if there aren't very many submissions.
