Now that is effin' sexy. Gives me a FastCrawl vibe too, for some odd reason. That's also a good thing.

Is it realtime 3D or prerendered?
Should be quite obvious that it is a game... Anyway, while its great to again see this genre having a modern incarnation, it just again kills it for me to see another rock-dirt-fantasy-dungeon... The oldest ones were cool when the graphics were quite abstract and interesting. But when bricks started to look like bricks, it become boring. How about modern day setting, or scifi, or Salvador Dali style setting, or spaceship, or Skynet, or alien UFO, or accurate Paris catacombes, or whatever else but just generic rocky dungeon... I want to experience new worlds damnit.

I'm right with you, 1982- part of the reason I've never gotten into dungeon crawlers is that the grimy dungeons typical of the genre never seemed visually appealing. The games that have pulled me towards them have been ones with stunning art direction, such as The Dark Spire and Etrian Odyssey.

Should be quite obvious that it is a game... That's not what the question meant at all. He was wondering whether they were real-time 3D graphics, or 2D graphics that looked 3D because they were rendered at high-quality beforehand. I don't know for sure, but I'm just going to go ahead and say with certainty that it's real-time.

Seems realtime to me, since you can see stuff like the torches affecting the wall lighting, enemies exploding and lighting up the area slightly when they die, etc. Also being able to look up and down. Either way it seems really cool, looking forward to it (though like 1982 I'm not a huge fan of the brick aesthetic).

Moraff's World. Loved its fast automapper, omnidirectional vision, and key shortcuts displayed onscreen at all times. Quite user friendly. I tried briefly to do some reverse engineering on this game to see what made it tick, but didn't really get anywhere.

There's a free cam in this game. Probably fair to say it's real-time.

grimrock has both realtime 3d graphics and realtime gameplay
from what we know of it its basically a modernized version of dungeon master.

Such a good yet horribly broken game. Seriously the later levels are hellish and some of the enemy designs (as in their relative strengths) are outright retarded. Also my game got a little bit of coverage: http://www.ultimaaiera.com/blog/very-obviously-inspired-by-akalabeth/
