I love how bjork embraces some really good people... Michel Gondry for example. And now this... giving someone a chance to show a sorta instrument from the future.

Her music's a bit hit and miss with me, though.

Still, awesome to know that you can get good enough at the reactable to actually perform stuff live.

From Bruce Sterling I got to browsing the Flickr stream of one Julian Bleecker, and interested in some of his interface related pictures.  From there I got to his research journal/blog where I realized that he's related to the Mobzombies game/project, in which the interface is physical space.  His presentation on speculative interfaces is interesting, although would be more so with a transcript.

And then there's them:

No genitalia visible, but definitely NSFW.

Definitely a, uh, interesting interface. Cry

Boobie Pong

Surprisingly less interesting than you might think.

Sure, it looks like fun, but when that game of pong gets competitive, someone is getting punched in the boob.

To be fair, that would make an excellent break up story.

A rather comprehensive overview of multi-touch interfaces and their history.

Xiang Cao of Toronto University has done some interesting work on

interfaces.  The newer video is on

interfaces.

The simple games at the end seem like a fraction of the potential for gameplay this system has.

This

looks pretty spiffy. It uses just a single normal microphone to detect where on the screen the user is blowing. You can read all of the technical stuff in the research paper online [PDF].
