Tick Tock Isle is out!Get it on Itch.io or Steam Hello TIG, this is the development log for my project, Tick Tock Isle. About: As the spiritual successor to Cat Poke, Tick Tock Isle plays like a point and click platform game that relies heavily on story, character interaction, creative thinking, and poking. 4/10/15 UPDATE:Four years ago we spent an entire summer designing our biggest game yet: Tick Tock Isle! Unfortunately, we didn’t have anyone to program it beyond a demo, so it lingered in our unfulfilled dreams folder. We decided to make our dream a reality and began programming the game ourselves in secret—not wanting to disappoint anyone were we not to succeed in this endeavor. As completion draws close, we have decided to make known that we will not be stopped in making TTI a reality for the summer of 2015.

Reserved for when I have something to add here.
Summoned to the long abandoned Tick Tock Isle, Nicholas Strike--horologist extraordinaire--is sent into the past to save the present. Who sent him into the past? Since when did the present need saving? Will he poke cats? These questions and more will be answered when you play Tick Tock Isle! Coming this fall on the internet!

I never got to play Cat Poke due to it being for Windows but the playthrough video gave me warm fuzzies, as do these teaser graphics. So I guess what I'm trying to say is

@thernz Most likely yes.
@Nugsy I did the coding on Cat Poke, but it was in multimedia Fusion. I want to focus on just the art for this one.
I am also thinking this could be a browser game done in flixel or flashpunk or something.
I had someone offer to program it for iOS devices.
Do you guys have a platform of choice?

I'm happy with either, but if you plan to monetize it's probably smart to do both Also if the gameplay is very similar to Cat Poke, it's probably simple enough to do once in Flash and then export to AIR for iOS (once they release AIR 2.7, which actually has impressive performance on iOS.)

Nice background art. Point and Click platforming sounds intriguing too. :D

Flash would be ok, I guess.
I don't like the idea of releasing this on iThing-only, though...

A bit of an update:
PleasingFungus is awesome and offered to be the programmer for the project. We got a few offers for the musician spot, so we are going to take a week to decide.
This was a busy week for me so I didn't get much art done.
here is a sprite for the main character: [removed image]
And also a snip of the early concept art I made for him: [removed image]
