you have to register an account with espernet. you can have as many accounts with espernet as you want as far as i know. yes, you will have to log in to access IRC. besides, none of it is taking effect anyway |

It's a good idea and everyone should do it, but we shouldn't force users into registering if they don't particularly want to. Plus, it gives new users another hoop to jump through. If flooding happens again, we can put it back in effect to kill the flood, but as a long-term channel attribute, I don't think it's a good idea. |
