Have you guys seen Munich: The Edge of War? I thought it was fantastic.

The pacing and writing is brilliant. The thriller elements are there and the dialogues have substance. Jeremy Irons and the two leads are all incredible.

If you liked Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy in some way or form, this film could be for you.

Not really a movie but I'm quite obsessed with Arcane lately. What a show.

What did yall think of the new matrix? They are saying it has destroyed the franchise lol. I liked it.

I still haven't seen it, sadly, but thanks for reminding me with this post. It's on HBO anyway hehe.

Friends say it's purely for fans - if you're outside of that circle, it doesn't seem to hit the right notes. That remains to be seen XD

The Red Letter Media review was pretty on the nose for how I feel about it:

Ahh, Arcane's pretty good. Not all that great to me but that might be my bad for watching Invincible just before it.

This one was a good horror flick sort of like Fritz Lang's M structurally. I'm not a real horror guy but the actress who did Pearl did a great job.

Favorite films I've seen lately.

post apocalyptic sci-fi!

very fun. amazed that someone could rise up through the soviet-era Polish political system and direct such a cool film with such a bleak critique of human bureaucracies

This movie is cool. Feels a lot more contemporary than 1957.

The cinematography in this movie is simply amazing. Really love the shots filmed from cabin interiors looking out onto the grand scale of the American West outside.

Also, it's totally crazy that George Lucas lifted the opening raid in Star Wars: A New Hope from this movie. It's pretty blatant once you see it!

Also, if anyone else is on letterboxd. My letterboxd is https://letterboxd.com/doomlaser -- it's my favorite movie site now, eclipsing IMDB. Great place to leave reviews and see what your friends are watching and what they think about it. Also, the rating histogram on movie pages is amazing and is a much better signal for gauging the quality of a film than IMDB score or Rottentomatoes percentages.

I watched Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves and I love it. Very funny and reminds me a lot of my playing days in Baldur's gate, Neverwinter Night.

Really a great AD&D show.

glad to know they didn't botch it. Though I never played D&D, I'll be looking forward to watch it then.
