In advance, please forgive if any of this information is not clear, not exactly a traditional project we are working on…

Looking for Graphics Engine Programmer, someone with experience with shader code (HLSL, GSL), experience with Procedural Graphics (demo scene stuff, runs in real time), DirectX and/or OpenGL. We are a small indie team and a few analysts taking a different approach with a tech dev project for data acquisition and a game engine that makes the creation of games and content faster through procedural generation (spore, but with a viable solution to overall development). We are young, and have a working financial budget as well to get things done. We have developed strong networks for this project and right now, we need to focus on building our tech team out.

Situation: We recently had an individual working on our tech, which simply had a change of heart with the culture and direction of what we are doing, in combination to some changes in the group. We still do remain on VERY good terms and he is also available to explain what has been built so far. Currently, we are what seems to be 9/10ths of the way done before we have a simple demo out to be viewed and interactive. The engine currently has a basic rendering/effects pipeline, resource editor, “somewhat” working procedural geometry algorithm for generating trees, concave terrain and other organic-ish structures. The “somewhat” is the part we need help refining with a new team of programmers, or a single person if appropriate.

We are based out of Los Angeles CA, we can help relocate the right person(s), and can offer other things as the relationship grows. Ideally, we want to bring people on that can work with us in one place, but if we have to work virtually, it is what it is.

While we have funds, and seem to be a bunch of snot nosed data geeks, assuredly, we are an indie group with a creative focus.

Can provide any information to the right candidate(s).
Please send over any applicable information on your background.
We will also of course offer all of our information, background and project details “for the right candidate(s)”. [email protected]

Some images of what has been accomplished... although it may not seem totally clear to a lot of people...
