Hello all,

I would like to introduce Point Zero, a strategy - action hybrid for two players.

At first glance, the game mostly resembles Advance Wars, as a quick paced turn based strategy game. However, when you attack one of your opponent's units, the game shifts to combat mode, and you have to duel your opponent in real time arcade style shooting, making the game less predictable and more action packed.

The game requires strategical and tactical thinking, as well as quick reflexes. There are three different races that you can play as, each with their own distinctive playing style, allowing for interesting matchups between totally different players.

System requirements: 1,4 GHZ + 256 MB RAM, but a bit higher is recommended.

We made this game over the course of 4 months as our main project for the minors Game Design and Game Techonology at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam.

Tell us what you think!

It's a little bit like a science fiction version of Dark Legions :D

Not at all, actually.

From my description, people tend to think this is an RTS... Perhaps I should change it?

Uh, I hit Dark Legions in Google and I did not mean the sucky RTS (I didn't even know it existed) but the old DOS-Game Dark Legions, as that too featured Turnbased movement of units and real-time reflex based battles.

Sorry for the misunderstanding :D

Ah, my bad.

Look like an interesting game, that. I'll give it a try.
