This is a great idea for a list. It's the type of thing I think has been needed, since so many games are hard to find out about so having a list of all of them in one place is very helpful. It would be great when you type up the links if they could be sorted by genre or something. Could you add loot pursuit to the list? www.loot-pursuit.comadded. will consider mentioning their genre / developer etc. in the list, good idea |

is it me or is that TIGL2 is so obscure that never heard any news of it? probably me...  lol, no, I wasn't even aware that I was doing a sequel... I kind of joked about wanting to do that but seeing as it has more votes than all my games combined, I might as well consider it. |

About 1 year ago I joined the indiegamer forums. The atmosphere there is rather different from here. Some of the long standing members are very discouraging and hypercritical of amateur projects, almost as if they fear new people doing well and becoming their competition, which would be understandable from a business point of view.
There is also bitterness towards those whose games they feel should not have been successful, compared to their own "superior" works.
Just be glad that TIGS is not full of people like that!
It's just one guy. If you ignore him the indiegamer forums are pretty cool and interestingn as long as you don't go there for the postcount or the random lol xD. |

sorry i missed the links before zratchet; i've added some of the ones you mentioned (leaving out the one that was released; not sure about the magika ones either, will need to research them). also added ones that others mentioned
although archon seems to be released (you can buy the beta) so i excluded that for the same reason minecraft and desktop dungeons is excluded (it'd be unfair to compare games that nobody has played to games that everyone can play if they buy the beta, since this is intended to be a measure of anticipation, not of game quality)
(but no decisions there are final, if someone really wants to see a game on the list feel free to argue for it, since for most of these games you guys know more about them than i do)
as for SD being highly anticipated, that's probably just cause i post a lot here. but i haven't even yet made a trailer or a teaser video for the game, or put any effort into promoting it yet, so it'd be interesting to see if anticipation goes up for the game after i've shown more of the game and spent some time promoting it
also, sorry for not having a list with links for the games yet, i'll try to get that up tomorrow

Those are other small-team games Paradox is releasing - they seem to be picking up a lot of indies (Magicka, Mount and Blade, the Penumbra team's early releases, etc)
Also I forgot 0 AD - they *have* an alpha and are open source, but I think they have a good amount of anticipation for when the game is done.
