Really great aesthetic. Reminds me of a Tsutomu Nihei manga, with even darker tones.
I'm not sure what kind of platformer it's moving towards though.

I like the two most recent ones you posted, although the original red looks the weirdest, and the blue might be the most pleasing on the eyes...tough choice, but they all look good.
