[Latest update post]http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=21287.msg607232#msg607232

Hi everyone,

This is a project I've been working on with some friends from college. Our first intention was to take part on Microsoft's Dream.Build.Play competition, but we missed the deadline. We continued working on it, and now we have our Alpha version (or at least we'd like to think so  Tongue).

Game Description
The game started off as a simple snooker project. But then we decided to turn the balls into warrior units (Gladiator, Healer, Archer), and give them some life, and special skills. After that, we changed the gameplay to be turn-based. You can decide where each one of your units is going to move in the Planning Phase, and then watch all of them move at the same time in the Battle Phase. If two units of different teams collide, the one who's slower takes damage.

The objective of the game is to kill your enemies units. There's some basic A.I. in place, but it's nothing too challenging...

Controls
You basically use your mouse to select your units, and to define their direction/speed. You can use the keyboard key "Escape" to pause the game.

System Requirements
The game was made with the Xbox resolution in mind, and we still haven't got around to making it possible to change it... So you will need a monitor with at least a 1280x760 resolution.

We'd like to hear any feedback, gameplay, areas to improve, visual feedback, whatever you may think of Smiley.

Hey everyone  Smiley,

We spent the last couple weeks working on our project to participate in a competition (Brasil Game Show). We added a hot-seat multiplayer, changed the stage, added some obstacles, and polished the game overall.

And here are some screenshots of it:

it's actually not bad, or maybe good, concept. don't really know how you gonna takeoff with this, as in this current form, the replayable value is quite little. maybe it's time to add more feature for this game, like more character for the player to chose and some unlockable character, or more arena/map, which have some typical environmental hazard.

the multiplayer feature is quite well done, but it still weird to play strategy game locally as the move might be predictable(or maybe not, i don't really know, you have to try to play with different people though). or maybe online play  Tongue

for the graphic though, i'd suggest that you change the character graphic into a coin like thing, with the character face at the center of the coin(which also make some weird face Corny Laugh).

it's quite pity that you miss the Dream.Build.Play compo though. i still wondering why there's no one give some love to this game.

Hi Leonelc,

Thanks for your feedback. We had some other people play, and they also commented about the replay value. Our plan now is too finish polishing up the game as it is now (the obstacles collision is a little off, the arrow goes through them, and some other small things  Tongue), and add a couple more stages and game modes. Then we'll see how that works, and maybe add a campaign mode to it.

We're going to study how to add an online multiplayer mode, and maybe change the graphics of the units into a coin-like thing. We tried that once, but the result wasn't so good.

Thanks again for replying  Wink.
