Does the player actually have to search for the disturbances, or do you mean that's what happens in the story?

I mean the story... not actual gameplay.
The story is a dynamic variable right now. And I will post about the whole thing here later.

Well, pixels look nice Smiley Gameplay looks rather generic right now though not bad Smiley I think that jumping sound were a bit too noisy. Blood splatter would have been IMO more interesting if it had gravity. Right now it is hard to say much more than that though.

Thank you. I'm testing alot of different sounds for the moment, so that is probably why the jumping sound was too loud when i recorded the gameplay. I will try to experiment with gravity in the particles life time, see if that looks more cool.

I hope the first level is done completely for the next video. With all enemies and stuff.

Looks and sounds great.  I agree on the jumping sound.  Perhaps something a bit more like your bullet sound, which is warmer.

I dig the sound effects. Where did they come from?

The new jump sound effect is nice. Definitely better than the last one. I know it's really early in development but are the areas always going to be so spacious? The explorer is so small compared to it.

It's all pretty nifty so far though. Maybe it's just me but I'm also loving the Metroid vibe I'm getting from it.

Yeah, now sounds are better. I also agree with spacious comment. Of course this is just first level, but since it looks a bit cavernous, I'd like to see more cramped tunnels and areas and feeling of pressure of walls if you get what I'm saying Smiley

The jump sound, sounds better, but I´m not really satisfied.

I know it's really early in development but are the areas always going to be so spacious? The explorer is so small compared to it.

The level is just a test level. I´m making all levels right now. And the next video will show some parts from these. But it will be a mix between large areas and small narrow ones.

I hope this is not SPAM. But my game is in playtest at Microsoft Xbox Live. And if you are a XBLIG developer, you can try it out at: http://bit.ly/n0kp2T.
