the last half was pretty disappointing/forgettable for me, and something about the ending pissed me off, but i can't remember what it was so i guess so i guess i'll upgrade my 'shitty' to a 'not really my bag'.
Can't ask for more than that.
It definitely had its shortcomings though, so I'm guessing it all comes down to personal taste and preferences.
I didn't enjoy the last few episodes during my first watch through, *until* I saw the last one, which made me reevaluate my feelings on the previous episodes.
I was taken in by the red-herring "moral" leading up to the last episode, which clashed with my own ideology a bit, amongst other things, but when the final-episode twist flipped it on its head I ended up feeling a bit better about it all. I appreciated those episodes better on the second watch once I knew about the final episode.
I liked it especially because of the mood change
In the end, I'd say the same.
I wonder where they'd go with a second season. I'm not familiar with the manga, so I'm guessing that'd influence it, but going blind, it'd be nice if they spent a bit more time on
the relationship between Yuuta and Rikka, now that they've accepted the positive aspects of their imagination since
the time from the relationship starting and Yuuta asking Rikka to reject her delusions/imagination was so short, and you never got much opportunity to see how they'd function together in contrast to the people around them. I'd like that if it happened. It'd give a good opportunity for more of the silly humour I quite enjoyed from the start of the first series.
