when is little witch academy releasing outside of japan?  ? i check pretty much weekly and it's killing me. i'm not gonna fuck with vpns though, even though i also really want to watch the new season of terrace house. it's juuuuust too much money/effort and netflix seems to be on top of that shit |

Did anyone see the recent series Kemono Friends? It was a sleeper title that I thought turned out really good. Apparently it was based off of a smartphone game. The whole series is with 3d models that by themselves aren't really impressive, and it is marketed kinda like kids' entertainment. However, the underlying story is surprisingly complex. The main character, Bag, wakes up in Japari Park, a giant zoo, with no idea where she is or what kinda of animal she is. Japari Park also seems to have been abandoned due to an eruption of a substance called sandstar. The series is about her journey through the park and meeting anthropomorphized animals called Friends. Every episode has short segments with animal facts about the new Friends encountered. There are hints about how the park used to operate and how things were before the eruption. They even run into enemy encounters!

edit: misread your post. havent seen it yet, but have been reading the manga, and chapter 091 is a huge wtf. given from where the anime is at, boy, you are still miles behind the real weirdness. |

1) Otakus hype it and no one else, which means that
2) Its gonna be forgotten by the end of the year
3) Season 2 probably gonna be crazy SHIT

Whilst the elevator pitch of Re:Creators (anime characters come to life) put me off the show instantly, watching this video has made me reconsider my original impression. I'll probably check out the show at some point. I'm glad to see the thread bumped too.  |

I heard『Seikaisuru Kado』is good too, I hadn't time to watch any yet btw I have been told to watch the first 2 episodes without knowing anything at all, no trailer, no pitch no nothing, by trustee people. Because the twist at the end of the first episode. So there is that. I have been told to not even mention the genre to let the surprise kick in full force. I want to see Girlish number because it's about anime making, but it's not available on crunchyroll europe. Tangential anime are getting god at 3d anime, but can someone innovate on hair and cloth dynamic  |
