Hi guys,
I suppose I'm more of a lurker than an active poster, but for those who don't know me I'm another video game composer. Anyway, I just released my debut album today and it's drenched in all kinds of indie-flavor and retro-goodness. Here's a short video with some info:
If you're not up for watching, here's some highlights:
-
20 retro-inspired, chiptune-flavored tracks
-
Over 75 minutes of playtime
-It's
only $3.99-Features
11 amazing guest appearances from the indie scene and otherwise:
- Souleye (VVVVVV, Extreme Road Trip)
- C418 (Minecraft)
- Surasshu (Tree of Knowledge)
- Josh Whelchel (The Spirit Engine 2, Scrolls)
- zircon (Return All Robots)
- Disasterpeace (FEZ) (Cat Astro Phi)
- flashygoodness (Tower of Heaven)
- Pongball (Bloom Defender)
- Chris Geehan of Hyperduck (Dust: An Elysian Tail)
- Mick Gordon (Need for Speed)
- Alex Brandon (Deus Ex, Unreal Tournament)
So stylistically the tracks are actually fairly diverse, ranging from nearly-authentic 8bit to just flat out electronic, but they are all built around a chiptuney center, and written heavily in the style of classic video game music. And it's heavily inspired by some great music and composers from indie games!
