Big update.

  • I spent a long time to find another simple memory leak. It was hell but it's over now.
  • Web now sticks to tiles and objects
  • Web tears if there's too much pressure. (awesome!)
  • Web can exit the level without causing bugs. (Hopefully my solution will work further along the line as well)
  • I've added a little friend.
 
    

But best of all is that the web is seamingly bug free now, which feels soooo gooooood.

Aww Mr. Dumle, you sure know how to make a gainsworthy happy. That webbing is fantastic, and Jumping Spiders! I love them. This could make for some really creative level design, too.

Some spiders hold their legs in pairs, so it looks like they have four. Actually, that could make for a super-cute/super-creepy idle animation.

But... I have to say it, I'm sorry... Spiders Have Eight eyes. Spiders do not have antennae. IT DRIVES ME MAD. Unless it's a he, and he's holding his pedipalps above his head.

But I've said too much already.


Will play the hell out of this game, have wanted to play a game as a jumping spider FOREVUH.

No. A demo for a flash game seems a bit much but I would like to get some testers opinion soon.

Yea, it drove me mad for a long time too. In the end I had to let go and think of what looked best.

IMO the centipede needs more contrast/shine to it. They're quite shiney looking, at the moment it looks kinda dull/flat and dithered.

Today I've made cut scene system that is supposed to be easy to use for level designers.
I spend a lot of time making my code and functions well documented and easy to use so that I can easily start working on old forgotten stuff.
