It's really hard to get noticed when your the small fish. Even in the indie scene, there are definitely cliques and networks of established indies. So how can the little guys get noticed? By taking advantage of every little possibility for exposure, even small ones. Over time a new network can be established, and eventually be connected to the more mainstream indie scene (yes, I did just say mainstream indie).
My proposal is simple. If you have a website or blog or github or sourceforge dealing with indie games, whether it's games, reviews, essays, devlogs, whatever, then lets share links! I will devote a sidebar, not unlike the TIGSource one, where I will list every indie webpage that you post here, as long as everyone who posts here also features those links somewhere on their homepage.
So if you want to share indie links:
1. Post the web address
2. Post the name of the page
3. Add all the links that we share here to a designated place on your homepage.Of course feel free to organize those links in categories. Also please no commercial portals that are not associated with a specific developer or collective. I think we would lower the value of the links if we allowed "dailyfreeipodgames.com" or some other page that is more concerned with making a quick profit than it is with indie games.
Maybe we can also share a uniformly sized mini banner (70px by 35px or something) so that there can be a nice alignment, please post your ideas, critiques, etc.
