Game Finished today April 28, 2012!

(note:  newest images at bottom)

Brief

Control a "goo ball" (disclaimer, not very goo-ey yet), collect goo.

2 levels to play so far, 1st is done, 2nd is mostly done.  Updated several times a week.  In dev for 2 weeks as of today.

(not yet implemented potentially undecided details)
I intend to have different types of goo balls ie fire, ice, bouncy, sticky, currently just green not so goo-ey version.  (click the image below to go to the web version, only web version available right now so unity web plugin is needed, right click to get a menu to goto full screen)  No sound or music yet.

please post with any feedback/critism or performance issues (particularly if you have older hardware newer hardware shouldn't have any issues)

Just updated with completed level 3.  Trying to think of a new name, something to give it character.  Thinking of naming the goo ball Smooshie (and the game named after that).  Thoughts?  Feedback?  I need to start working on some audio at some point here, thoughts for how the music should feel? Slow and mellow or faster and pace setting?

Completed leve 4 and updated goo ball to make it "gooey".  New wavy (they are dynamic and move in game) pipes are part of level 4 (see image)

Update:  Added some music and sounds.  Created a new level area to navigate and pick levels to enter.  This is the new start area.

Kinda reminds me of a

. These games are fun. I'm interested to see what you come up with for a goo effect, and what effects it will have on gameplay.

In the classic sense yes, though there have been a lot of modern games as well like switchball.  There is more to it than just racing downhill to the end of a track, and I intend to expand upon the "more to it" in future levels.

Neat!  There is already a goo effect in my game, but I may expand upon it later.  Tis a delicate balance of spending time on levels, codey aspects/mechanics and other assets.

Added some particle effect clouds, first pass, might try to spruce it up later.

Ok the last clouds kinda sucked but they were better than the plain blue sky.  But now... well I think this is just pretty.

Also a screen shot from level 8 that was pretty cool (the animations are cooler than the image gives credit)

Haven't posted in a while, but I just finished and uploaded update 5 which has levels 13-16.  I was working at a pretty good pace for a while, but I took a new day job and that has taken nearly all of my time lately.

Looks like the last post was from level 10, so here's some pics.

Level 11

Level 12

Level 13

Level 14

Level 15

and lastly Level 16
Something really cool here, the wavy rails in the bottom left are animated mesh and the series of circular platforms above and below each other are moving and spinning elevators.  It looks pretty cool.
