Hello fellow indies,
We are perhaps a little bit less "indie" than we used to be, but we will never be corporate or lose our spirit! We are a small team of 6 and we've brought NS2 into beta on our own engine ("Spark"). Now we are in need of a couple programmers to help us finish up the game and really make all aspects of it shine. In particular, we need:
Game Programmer
Implement core game features in Lua. Features like new weapons, alien movement modes, UI features (menus, Commander Mode), etc.
Take feedback from community and playtesters to refine features to make sure they work smoothly and intuitively as they are supposed to.
Work in our San Francisco office (SOMA).
Required: Great Lua programming skills, solid work ethic, passionate about games and a positive, fun, can-do attitude.
Bonus points: Familiar with core gameplay of Natural Selection, game design skills.
Tools Programmer (10/6/11)
Improve, refine, optimize and polish our level editor, cinematics editor (FX) and tool chain.
Work with the users of our tools (level designers, artists, player-creators) to make the tools among the best the industry has seen.
Work in our San Francisco office (SOMA).
Required: Great C++ programming skills, solid work ethic, passionate about games and a positive, fun, can-do attitude.
Bonus points: wxWidgets, Windows skills.
