So I've decided to do tigcast ,heres a short little sound clip of me talking to myself about it.

I'm hoping to have a different set of guests each week or fort night, hopefully week.
Don't expect anything amazing at first all great podcasts start out shit look at 1up yours as an example.

segments will probly be

new releases
of topics
interviews
so on
But not to formal i want the podcast to be laid back.

Not sure if it should be clean or not. (swears and poop jokes)

If you wanna volunteer for episode 0 or a future episode post here or pvt message me.I hope to record this weekend im an insomniac so times are flexible.

This will hopefully become a good place to announce projects and such as podcasts tend to attract alot of attention from geeks like me. (I currently listen to 20+ on a regular basis, which means i have no life, which means I'm perfect to host this thing.)

Itll be a community podcast so anyone can send stuff in but id prefer people joining me ii the podcast.(Segments with one person always seem to suck)

And sorry for all the arrs and yeahs and i guss's. I was nervures ,talking to myself is very embarrassing and should be seen as proff of the above point

You want guests by tomorrow? Really now, chill out a little. Meter that enthusiasm to last.

Never done something like this before, but off the top of my head, you're going to need a bit of a plan. How about we (the community) work one out for the 0th cast? You seem to listen to a bunch, so what formats do you think work? How much time should you spend on a certain topic? What should be looked at? Roughly, obviously. Not some obsessively detailed plan.

Also, good luck on this. I think I can help a little, at least in theory.

yes i was a liitle hotheaded sorry id be happy to give it 2 or so weeks
as for that podcast you did before ,i listened to it and its over edited and to formal
it should be kept simple start with maybe a short theme
then just talk about this weeks games to get discussion going then after 30 minutes or so have a break come back and do an interview or whatever
least formal the beter
ideally their would be four people
two of whom are regulars
the hardest part really is getting 4 people together every fortnight
and id be glad to just edit it and be 2nd chair or whatever and let someone with a bit more carisma do the hosting
perhaps we could even have the guest host that'd be quite the novelty
but regardless i need at least one person to volunteer before we can even start
episode 0 should be considered as testing the waters more than anything else

I think it should be weekly, I also think it should shoot for an hour. I think it should be split up into 3 sections: what you are playing, news, and feature. So kinda the format that the 1up yours podcast follows. I listen to a few so I have a handle on what is needed. Ill try to come up with a demo, but I feel a little weird talking to myself, but Ill try to get it together.

Sounds awesome, but are we going to use web-audio to converse, or do you have something else in mind? I listen to 1up's podcasts regularly, so I have a general idea of how the show works.

i doubt doing it in person will ever be possible
maybe at igf we could do a special in person podcast or something

TIGcast sounds like an epic idea, especially if you can get some good indie developers alongside you for interviews. Hell just relaxing talking about anticipated releases, news, short reviews of recently released games as well as other special segments.

if any musicians would like to do an intro or something itd be much appreciated
keep it short tho bout 5-10 seconds should do it
