8 bit 8 bit pixels same as keats games are art The im9today I knew was a pixel artist, and a pretty good one at that. I wonder what ever happened to that guy? And it's funny that the TIGJammers' games are accused of being pixel art, because the more impressive ones demo'd there were not. Had to be there, I guess.

I'd say game jams are excuses for socializing between game devs as much as they are opportunities for making things. Usually people hang out a lot, come up with a bunch of ideas, start making one or two of those ideas, and the jam ends. Or they hang out a lot while getting some work done on a current project and showing it around. Either way it's a fun time and a motivational slingshot.
