Music'pine (video)

My buddy and I made this game, the way it works is:
  • Choose any song from your music library
  • A unique level is generated from the properties of the music
  • Rock out to your tunes and play

In addition to the music analysis and level generation, the game also features a "visual progression" concept. If you can keep a combo going, the background art gradually fills in increasing layers of detail - so the environment becomes more and more lively until you mess up  Grin

Playing around with music game generational techniques has been a pet project of mine for a while, and I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out. If you've played Audiosurf or Beat Hazard before this is a similar concept (cool stuff!).
